Completed in 1910 by J. H. McKenzie\’s sons, the Augusta Fire Department Headquarters building was designed by architect G. Lloyd Preacher. The ground floor contained fire equipment, the second floor contained the chief\’s office, sleeping rooms and baths, and  the third floor contained a gymnasium, pool tables, and an emergency room for fireman. The was the first building designed by G. Lloyd Preacher in Augusta. Rehabilitation into an event facility and loft apartments.
