Preservation for Profit Workshop (© Historic Augusta, Inc.)

Join Historic Augusta for their Preservation for Profit workshop and learn how investment in a historic building makes good financial sense. Preservation Services Director Robyn Anderson will explain the process of buying and renovating historic buildings and how significant tax credits can reduce the cost of rehabilitation by half. Attendees will also learn about the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and will review a case study of a successful certified rehabilitation project. Certified rehabilitation tax credits are available for both owner occupied properties and income producing properties in addition to the property tax abatement program.
